Squid fishing in the southwest Atlantic sea area

The fishing time of squid in the high seas of southwest Atlantic sea has all been over. There are still 10 vessels working on the line, and last week the fishing volume was 432 tons. At present, the total fishing volume in 2016 was 64254 tons.

Fishing situation of squid in Peru sea area

In recent weeks, the fishing capacity of squid in the Peru sea area was 1890 tons, and the total catch in 2016 was 70638 tons. Output decreased by about 50% than that of the same period last year. At present, 232 squid fishing vessels have been carried out in the Peru sea area, and 8 fishing boats have been returned.

Squid fishing in the North Pacific

In the last week, the squid fishing capacity in the North Pacific was 281 tons, and the total fishing volume was about 1582 tons in 2016. At present, 77 squid fishing vessels in total are there.

Gigas squid can partly replace Illex and North Korean squid as raw materials source in Exporting

Gigas squid production in the first half of last year, raw materials production is less than that of last year, the production of Peru small strip is still relatively low, the prices of raw materials compared to last year were significantly higher. At present, Gigas large fillet are sold at the price of about 5100-5300 rmb / ton from the supply source, while the price was about 2800 rmb/ton in the same period of last year, which have increased more than 80%. Gigas squid tentacles was  about 6200-6300rmb / ton, the same period last year price was about 4500 rmb/ton, increased about 40%. Price of Gigas squid is lower compared with that of Illex and North Korean squid, and it has some stock last year, this year quantity of Illex squid and North Korean squid sharply cut down. Gigas squid can replace part of Illex and North Korean squid as raw materials source in exporting.
